Auto Attacks (Ranged example / Melee example)
Mechanic: Rathis uses Ranged
and Melee
auto attacks. If you are outside melee distance, the melee attack becomes a charge instead.
Solution:
⬥ Stay in melee distance unless moving briefly to dodge poison
⬥ If low Defence
level, pray against Ranged
/
• Pray
once you are comfortable surviving the mechanics
Charge (Example)
Mechanic: If you move out of melee distance, Rathis can charge at you, stunning
you and dealing heavy typeless damage.
Solution:
⬥ Stand in melee distance of Rathis
⬥ If moving (e.g., to dodge acid pools, move back into melee distance quickly to avoid the charge
Acid Bombardment (Example)
Mechanic: Rathis launches two acid orbs, with one aimed at the player. Each orb deals up to 3500
damage when it lands and leaves behind a Poison Pit.
Poison Pits are large green pools that remain in the arena until Rathis uses Poison Absorption. Standing in them deals poison
damage every tick and applies Corrosion, increasing all damage taken by 20% per stack, up to 100%.
Poison Pits shrink when stood in, going from 5x5 → 3x3 → 2x2 → 1x1.
Solution:
⬥ If avoiding them:
• Step away from the landing tiles as the orbs arrive
• Move only as much as needed, then return to melee distance
⬥ If shrinking them:
• Keep Elder Overload Salve
, Venomblood
or Super Antipoison
active to reduce poison damage
• Briefly stand in Poison Pits to shrink them before Poison Absorption
• Avoid building too many Corrosion stacks, as this makes all incoming damage more dangerous
• Do not risk dying just to shrink every pool
Poison Absorption (Example)
Mechanic: Rathis absorbs any remaining Poison Pits, healing based on their size (you will see Uber Heal appear over Rathis). A full-size Poison Pit can heal Rathis for up to 35,000 LP.
Solution:
⬥ This mechanic rewards you for shrinking Poison Pits during Acid Bombardment
⬥ Continue the kill as normal, but expect it to take longer
