Vindicta & Gorvek – Boss Guide

General Information

⬥ Vindicta & Gorvek is a multi-phase fight in the Heart of Gielinor.

⬥ In Normal Mode, Vindicta starts at 200,000 LP and mounts Gorvek at 100,000 LP.

⬥ In Hard Mode, Vindicta starts at 300,000 LP and mounts Gorvek at 150,000 LP.

⬥ After Vindicta is defeated in Hard Mode, Gorvek continues the fight alone with 300,000 LP.

⬥ Level 80 Attack attack is required to create an instance, which you can boost with any attack potion.

Normal Mode:

⬥ P1: 2 auto attacks → Hurricane → 2 auto attacks / Ranged AttackDragonfire → 3 auto attacks → Hurricane → Repeat

⬥ P2: 1 auto attack → Ranged Attack → 1 auto attack → Dragonfire Wall → Repeat

Hard Mode:

⬥ P1: 2 auto attacks → Hurricane → 3 auto attacks → Dragonfire → 3 auto attacks → Hurricane → Repeat

⬥ P2: 1 Melee auto attack → Ranged Attack → 1 Melee auto attack → Fly + Dragonfire Wall → Repeat

⬥ P3: 10 rapid Melee auto attacks → Fly + Dragonfire Wall → Fly back to the middle → Repeat

Auto Attacks

Mechanic:

⬥ Vindicta's auto attacks deal Melee melee damage

⬥ In Hard Mode Phase 3, Gorvek attacks rapidly with Melee auto attacks, hitting up to around 4,500 damage per hit

Solution:

⬥ Pray against Melee deflectmelee or

⬥ Pray soulsplit once you are comfortable surviving mechanics

⬥ In Hard Mode Phase 3, use defensive abilities if you are taking too much damage from Gorvek's rapid attacks

Phase 1 - Hurricane (Example)

Mechanic:

⬥ Vindicta uses a 5x5 Melee AoE when you are within melee distance

⬥ If you are outside melee distance, Hurricane is replaced by a Ranged attack instead

Solution:

⬥ Use Devotion devo to mitigate the damage or

⬥ Tank the attack

⬥ Stay outside melee distance if you want to force the Ranged attack instead

Phase 1 - Ranged Attack (Example)

Mechanic:

⬥ Vindicta fires a single Ranged hit if you are outside melee distance

⬥ In Hard Mode, this deals moderate Ranged damage to a random target

Solution:

⬥ Briefly switch to pray against Ranged deflectrange

Phase 1 - Dragonfire (Example)

Mechanic:

⬥ Vindicta raises her arms to signal Gorvek

⬥ Gorvek fires a straight line of flames across the arena

⬥ This deals rapid Magic damage if stood in

Solution:

⬥ Move out of the fire

⬥ Avoid standing directly on the dragonfire line, as the damage hits rapidly

Phase 2 - Mounted Gorvek

Mechanic:

⬥ Vindicta mounts Gorvek once she reaches the phase transition threshold

⬥ In Normal Mode, this happens at 100,000 LP

⬥ In Hard Mode, this happens at 150,000 LP

⬥ Once mounted, Vindicta and Gorvek gain a new attack pattern

Solution:

⬥ Prepare for Ranged Attack and Dragonfire Wall

⬥ Keep moving out of dragonfire lines while continuing to damage the boss

Phase 2 - Dragonfire Wall (Example)

Mechanic:

⬥ Gorvek flies to a random corner and breathes a straight line of flames across the arena

⬥ This works the same as Phase 1 - Dragonfire

Solution:

⬥ Move out of the fire or

⬥ Surge surge towards Gorvek and past the fire

Phase 2 - Ranged Attack (Example)

Mechanic:

⬥ Gorvek fires a high-damage Ranged hit

Solution:

⬥ Use Resonance res to heal from the hit or

⬥ Pray against Ranged deflectrange and use Devotion devo

Phase 3 - Gorvek (HM Only)

Mechanic:

⬥ After Vindicta is defeated, Gorvek continues the fight alone with 300,000 LP

⬥ Gorvek uses rapid Melee auto attacks, then flies away to create a dragonfire wall before returning to the middle

Solution:

⬥ Pray against Melee deflectmelee during Gorvek's rapid auto attacks

⬥ Use defensive abilities if needed, as the Melee hits can deal heavy damage

⬥ Be ready to move when Gorvek flies away for Dragonfire Wall

Phase 3 - Dragonfire Wall (HM Only)

Mechanic:

⬥ Gorvek flies away and breathes a straight line of flames across the arena

⬥ This works the same as Phase 1 - Dragonfire

⬥ In Hard Mode Phase 3, dragonfire lines stay active until three are present

⬥ When the next dragonfire wall is used, the oldest line despawns

Solution:

⬥ Move out of the fire

⬥ Track active dragonfire lines and avoid boxing yourself in

⬥ Use Surge surge or Dive dive to reposition safely
