Fight Mechanics

⬥ Poison poisonicon splats may appear, but they do not deal damage.

Attack Rotation

⬥ Normal Mode: Avaryss' Surge → auto attacks → Rain Death → auto attacks → Burn Phase → auto attacks → Repeat

⬥ Hard Mode: 2 auto attacks → Avaryss' Surge + Lava Bombs → auto attacks → Ceiling Collapse + Lava Bombs → auto attacks → Channeled Bomb + Lava Bombs → auto attacks → Blue Lava Bomb + Lava Bombs → auto attacks → Repeat

Shared Health Pool

Mechanic:

⬥ Avaryss and Nymora share one health pool

⬥ When they are close together, AoE abilities can hit both twins and effectively damage the shared health pool twice

⬥ Hit caps do not apply to the Twin Furies' health pool, so some high-damage hits may deal more damage than the visible hitsplats suggest

Solution:

⬥ Use AoE abilities when both twins are close together e.g., cane bombard spectralscythe gchain

⬥ High-damage combinations such as Chaos Roar chaosroar → Overpower overpowerigneous will also go through the hit cap

Avaryss' Surge (Example)

Mechanic:

⬥ Avaryss jumps to a wall, then charges across the arena

⬥ This repeats 4 times

⬥ Avaryss always travels in cardinal directions, such as north to south or west to east

⬥ In Hard Mode, the dive can hit up to around 4,000 Melee damage, stun for 3 seconds, and disable overhead prayers

⬥ In Hard Mode, attacking Avaryss mid-jump can reflect 90% of the damage taken

Solution:

⬥ Move out of Avaryss' path after she jumps to a new wall

⬥ In Hard Mode, continually move to avoid being pushed and stunned

⬥ Avoid attacking Avaryss mid-jump in Hard Mode

Ceiling Collapse (Example)

Mechanic:

⬥ Nymora jumps to a random square and causes a ceiling collapse

⬥ In Hard Mode, Nymora yells "we will purge them all!" before the collapse

⬥ In Hard Mode, this deals rapid Ranged damage up to around 1,000 damage every 1.8 seconds

Solution:

⬥ Stand in the 3x3 area around Nymora to negate the mechanic

⬥ Use defensive abilities if needed while moving into position

Channeled Bomb (Examples) (Explosion)

Mechanic:

⬥ The twins move to the centre of the arena and channel an attack

⬥ If the channel finishes, it deals 4,500 damage in Normal Mode

⬥ In Hard Mode, this can deal up to around 8,000 damage

⬥ During this mechanic, the twins take 2x damage

⬥ You take typeless damage during the channel, which can be offset by Soul Split soulsplit

Solution:

⬥ Use AoE abilities while the twins are close together

⬥ Melee can use Cleave cleave, Hurricane cane and Quake quake

⬥ Necromancy can use Spectral Scythe spectralscythe, Spectral Scythe II spectralscythe2 and Spectral Scythe III spectralscythe3

⬥ Move or Surge surge to the edge of the arena before the explosion or

⬥ Block the explosion with defensive abilities

Lava Bombs (HM Only)

Mechanic:

⬥ A lava bomb spawns alongside each main mechanic

⬥ Lava bombs bounce around the arena 5 times before disappearing

⬥ Green arrows show where the lava bomb will land

⬥ If you are within the 5x5 landing area, you take 3,000-4,000 hard typeless damage

⬥ After 2 bounces, a second lava bomb spawns

Solution:

⬥ Watch the green arrows and move away from the landing area

⬥ Keep moving while handling the main mechanic

⬥ Avoid pathing into Avaryss' jump path while dodging lava bombs

Blue Lava Bomb (HM Only)

Mechanic:

⬥ A blue lava bomb bounces around the arena 3 times

⬥ Green arrows show where the blue lava bomb will land

⬥ If avoided, it homes in on the player and deals 6,000-7,000 hard typeless damage

⬥ If the player takes the bomb, it also hits both twins for the same damage

Solution:

⬥ Intentionally take the blue lava bomb to damage both twins

⬥ Prepare defensives or healing before taking the hit

⬥ Avoid overlapping the blue bomb with other dangerous mechanics where possible
